Background

The Explore, Ski and Stay Myoko Kogen sites are the recognised authorative guides to Myoko Kogen and the surrounding areas. The Explore The Heart of Japan website was launched in 2003 as the first English website focused on the area and is still the most popular and informative English portal for the Shin'etsu-kogen area, in particular - Myoko Kogen, Lake Nojiri-ko & Togakushi, plus more recently, Shibu Onsen and Yudanaka Onsen (Japan Snow Monkey Park). The site has the widest available range of accommodation in the area - and all booking can be done online in English. In 2008 we also launched the popular new sister sites - Myoko Kogen: Ski the Heart of Japan & Myoko Kogen: Stay in the Heart of Japan.

Why advertise with us?

The Ski, Stay, Explore The Heart of Japan sites are usually listed within the top three listings* with popular search terms on all major search engines. The Ski, Stay, Explore The Heart of Japan sites have also been linked or recognised as the authorative guide by a variety of websites and travel companies including HIS, JNTO France, Sydney Morning Herald, Lonely Planet, The News Corporation Travel Section and Qantas Travel Insider. The sites currently receive over 300 page views a day (usually many more during winter) from all around the world, particularly Australia and the U.S.A, as well as Japan - with visits averaging at least five minutes. Around 50% of visitors usually 'out click' to one or more of the business links listed on the site, such as accommodation or ski areas. Although other more general Japan sites may get more 'clicks' our focus on only the local area means that our visitors are far more likely to stay longer and, in turn, purchase via links on the site - thereby creating better value for advertisers.
