	Hawk and Hare Inn - Shin-Akakura The Hawk and Hare Inn, Myoko is a very popular B&B Inn next to the Akakura Golf Club & tennis courts (see Hawk & Hare map), overseen by mine host, Mike Perrin. Includes a well-stocked public bar, plus sporting activities and a falconry program. Free shuttle service to/from all local Myoko ski resorts, sightseeing spots and train station. 	Akakura Kanko Hotel - Shin-Akakura The Akakura Kanko Hotel is the most famous of all Myoko hotels (see larger photo above) and is a Japan ski industry icon. This classic European style hotel, the first of it's kind in Japan, is perched high on the slopes of Shin-Akakura Kanko (Akakan) ski area where one can ski in and ski out. The hotel was built in 1937 and still retains its sense of history. Expect a high standard of service and enjoy a hot spring on the balcony in the snow.
	Soratobu Usagi Myoko - Suginohara Ski Area Situated in Suginosawa Myoko, this popular ski hotel is close to the Myoko Suginohara ski area trails. Offers comfortable and affordable accommodation (equipped with a well-maintained kitchen), nice bar for apres ski, plus nearby hot springs. Map to Soratobu Usagi Myoko in Suginosawa
	Canadian House - Shin-Akakura Canadian House is a popular pension that offers both western and Japanese style accommodation conveniently located between Myoko Kogen and Shin-Akakura. 	Pension Mont Cervin - Akakura Onsen Pension Mont Cervin is an affordable and popular pension. The genial host, Shikine-san, is also director of the Myoko Kogen Visitor Center as well as a certified mountain and trekking guide. Hence he is able to tell you a lot about this unique natural area as well as showing some of the most breathtaking views and scenery in the area via snowshoe tours.
	Tsubame Highland Hotel - Tsubame Onsen Tsubame Highland Hotel has both Japanese and Western style accommodation available and is surrounded in seclusion by the deep forests and beautiful mountains of the Myoko Plateau. It is the perfect place for relaxing, hiking, trekking and skiing. To get to Akakura Ski Resort you can ski or snowboard down directly From Tsubame Onsen. 	Hotel Kofukan - Ryokan Kofukan - Myoko-Kogen (station area) This establishment was opened in 2004 featuring large rooms with both Japanese and Western style accommodation available. It is only three minutes by free shuttle from Myokokogen station with wonderful relaxing hotsprings and a great view of Mt. Myoko. A free shuttle bus service is available to and from Suginohara ski field during the winter. Discount ski lift tickets are also available for purchase. 	Pension Four Seasons - Madarao-Kogen You can enjoy the nearby ski slopes in winter or the cool of the summer highlands in Madarao Kogen. The property is separated into two buildings with rooms or a log cabin available. The six rooms can sleep 2 to 4 people and breakfast is included. The independent log house has two bedrooms plus living area, kitchen and bathroom. Alight at JR Iiyama Station and take a bus to Madarao-kogen.
	Shimaya Ryokan - Yudanaka Onsen Shimaya Ryokan is located in the centre of Yudanaka Onsen and only 8 minutes away from Yudanaka station. When requested, the ryokan will provide 'on-demand' free shuttle services to and from the Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park. Read or leave a review of Shimaya Ryokan here
	Shibu Hotel - Shibu Onsen Shibu Hotel is a popular Japanese-style inn in Shibu Onsen. FREE collection from Yudanaka station, plus FREE shuttle to Jigokudani Yaen Koen (Monkey Park). Closer to the Onsen Monkey Park than the other onsen areas of Nagano. The hotel has both Japanese-style rooms with tatami mats and western-style rooms as well as three different types of onsen including a private bath.
	Togakushi Tabinoyado Sirakabasou - Togakushi Village Togakushi Tabinoyado Sirakabasou in Togakushi is a popular establishment in a central location with in-house courtesy van, satellite TV and ski rental. One hour by bus from JR Nagano Station or thirty minutes drive from Lake Nojiri.
	Pension Almanac - Lake Nojiri / Kurohime Five minutes by car from the Shinano-machi interchange. This establishment has a homely cabin feel with Chinese meals available. Facilities include coin laundry, ski and snowboard rental as well as ski wear, a ski drying room and internet access (e-mail).
	Zenkoji Tokugyoubou - Nagano City Zenkoji Tokugyoubou is located right in the grounds of Zenkoji Temple. It is a shukubo - the kind of lodging that is traditionally attached to a Japanese temple. A shukubo is similar to traditional Japanese inns but at a shukubo you can join in morning prayers with the temple monks and eat shojin ryori - the special austere, vegetarian meal for monks. The rooms are traditional Japanese rooms with tatami mats and a light cotton yukata is offered for sleeping. No credit cards accepted.
